Summary

I am a co-founder and the first investor of Facebook Inc., a company which from its humble beginnings in early 2004 as a Harvard-only student social network has emerged today as a business and cultural touchstone.

As a 21-year old college student, I made the first seed investment into Facebook with the majority of my life savings. I am thankful and humbled to have played a part in in Facebook’s remarkable transition from a then one-college specific social network to the most ubiquitous social utility in the world today, empowering more than 1 billion people of all age groups, geographies, languages and cultural affinities to share and make the world a more open and connected place.

Today, I enjoy making seed, early-stage and growth technology investments. As an investor and mentor, I work closely with an array of companies of all sizes and stages, from all parts of the world, that share one common thread: passion for cross-platform people-centric innovation with pan-global ambitions.

On my spare time, I cannot get myself to stop playing chess and reading up on meteorology, amongst other things.

I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and graduated with a degree Economics with honors from Harvard University in 2006. I currently reside in Singapore.
